Never Ending MGatot in Endless Rain
It's raining very hard now. In fact, it has been raining for 3 straight hours and I'm stuck here at a cafe near the campus. I'm with my colleague now and we're talking about many things, including my game project, while waiting for the rain to stop.
Talking about games, we have received the feedback from the lecturer this morning. We could understand the feedback well, but the program still couldn't run. We have re-checked the source code over and over again. We have matched the names of the files, and even the capital letter, but still no positive outcome T.T
I wonder how those programmers can handle this kind of problem. Repeating the same step over and over again. Wish I could rent a programmer's brain for 2 nights or so, just to finish this project successfully :p
Anyway, during my confusion about the game for the mid-term test, I've just got an idea for my final project game. The idea comes from my conversation with this colleague of mine. It's still a rough idea, though. Well, I do hope that I can realize this idea into a real game ^^
This topic reminds me of the reading materials that I taught today. It's about the changing dream and wanted carreer. The article talks about how occupation has changed from a century ago up to the present day, and what it will be in the future. According to the writer, the dominating job back then was the "manual workers", meaning that the popular jobs were the ones that counted mostly on the strength or physical ability of a person, such as labours, construction workers, etc. Nowadays, it has shifted and formed something new called "knowledge society". It is the job that requires knowledge or a serious thought, such as lawyers, teachers, etc. As for the future, the dominating job will be from the field of technology. The writer call them as "knowledge technologists". This emerges from the fact that the world today is very influenced and controlled as well as depends on the use of technology. Therefore, the writer predicts that in the future, it is those people who have good knowledge on technology that will be needed badly.
Reading that idea, I automatically thought about my profession now as an educator and also the major I have chosen for my Master's degree: Technology Education. The name seems promising, right? I feel that I'm on the right track if I want to survive in the future. I just need more determination to deal with things that I don't really favor and understand, just like this game. So I thought, "how can I survive in the future world filled with technology sophisticated people if I can't pass this?". From that point, I now have additional motivation to finish the project game with my partner well. We have made another appointment tomorrow to "get dizzy" with the source code and friends :)
Well, I guess that's it for today. The rain has just stopped and now I really want to go home and crash my bed ^^ See you again soon and God bless!!
