Finally... Hope!!

Hi all!!

Just finished discussing the game with my partner ^^ Honestly, I'm quite happy, because I am sure that we've made a big progress in understanding the code :p Feels like Robert Langdon when he first understood the first piece of the mystery in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown :)

Well, for the last three days (opposite of the Russel Crowe's movie The Next Three Days :p), my partner and I had been working on our project. We didn't make very significant improvement, but still we felt happy and quite satisfied because now we could start to see the 'big picture' of our project :) As a result, I was very tired at night and I couldn't share my feelings to you on those days because whenever I crashed my bed, I automatically fell asleep :p

Anyway, now it's official that our game's title will be THE PUPPET SHOW. The name PUPPET stands for PURI and PATRICE, the designer of the game for sure :) The game is quite simple but interesting (hopefully). So, this game aims to familiarize the students with the basic vocabulary of directions: right, left, up, down. When you play, you will find yourself in the middle of 4 arrows pointing to different directions. Later, there will be instructions for you to follow. Those instructions range from the simple instruction up to complex instruction.

We have been focusing in making the images that we will use in this game. Today is the first trial day, where we put those images into the source code. As what happens to every amateur, it's not running properly ><>

Fortunately, we have a supportive and helpful lecturer, so maybe that's it for today. We are still waiting for the feedback from the lecturer and we will continue our "fight" tomorrow :) Hopefully, we'll be able to overcome all problems that occur today well (AMEN).

Now, I want to prepare my teaching materials for tomorrow's classes. My class today was fun, by the way. I've known most of the students, and it seems to me that they all have high spirit to study the subject :) I just hope that I can also be a helpful and resourceful lecturer for them and all my other students ^^

Hi all!! Miss me? No? Okay, no hard feelings :p This is my first post after the assignment where I had to report my progress on the Game Project is done! Meaning to say: this is my first post that I write because I want to. Well, actually it is greatly influenced by my beloved students :) I temporarily teach at a local university in my city, and this semester I have the chance to teach this great class called CRW. Four Days Synopsis

Olla ^^ I have to say that the past 4 days were not my best days :p There's so much going on. Some old problems added up with some new troubles, so I couldn't take it anymore, at least my body protested first, forcing me to take some really good rest without any disturbance. I shouldn't tell you ALL my problems 'coz that will make this blog seems pathetic, right ^^ I just can say: dealing with emotions WELL is not one of my characteristics. I'd say it sucks! That's exactly why I prefer dealing with animals rather than people, coz animals, esp dogs, never lie. They're straightforward; everytime they make mistakes, they apologize and try to make it up to us. Needless to say, only a few people do the same thing in the exact same situation. Living on our own in peace is much better than living with other people full of arguments, suspicions and anger.
